Climate Change

Welcome to our page on climate change and energy security.

Combating climate change and ensuring secure energy supplies is at the heart of UK foreign policy. Malta's reliance on predictable climatic conditions and importing oil ensures both countries have a shared interest in promoting a more stable global situation. We do this through bilateral exchanges of expertise and equipment, and multilateral cooperation within the EU and other multinational organisations.

The High Commission's role is to provide the link between our Government in London and the Maltese authorities and other organisations involved in environment and energy sectors.
